In addition, you can keep your product, vendor, and customer information stored in multiple subdirectories for even greater flexibility. Product Scope 32 Bookmarks V3.2 Two versions - Viewer and Unlimited Editing. The Viewer version contains most of the features of the Unlimited Editing version, but editing capabilities are restricted. For example, up to 9 product records can be created and EDITED with the Viewer version per directory. You can change to a known empty subdirectory, and create more, but the limitations per directory are only removed with Unlimited Editing registration. When you change to a data directory which exceeds the editing restrictions, the program turns into a View only mode. The unlimited editing version includes an Import/Export program. The product, itself, (Product Scope 32 Bookmarks) CANNOT be bundled with any other product commercial or non-commercial without prior permission from Encourager Software. This also provides more consistent use of + key combinations as well. Product Image File The product image file field in this latest update of the program is now saved as a local directory filename only - NO path information. To display the Product Image File correctly, product image files must be located in the current local directory and the local directory filename only with no path information must be entered in the Product Image File field. This was changed to add greater versatility to exchanging product data files and increase the usefulness of the Profile Exchange concept Encourager Software has developed. The current local directory is displayed in the Main Window Titlebar: ie: Product Scope 32 Bookmarks - C:\Program Files\PS32 BookMarks\Example Data\ If you have previously saved the product image file with path information, you must delete the path information before the product image file will display correctly in this V3.2 update. Example: C:\Program Files\PS32 BookMarks\Example Data\ps32book.gif Delete "C:\Program Files\PS32 BookMarks\Example Data\" Only ps32book.gif filename should be stored in the Product Image File field. You can manually delete the path information on previously saved records or use the Product Image lookup button, locate and select the Product Image file. ________________ New Copy Features on Browse Windows Copy button - Copy with Edit: Copy the highlighted record, and open the copied record for editing. Copy - Popup Menu Choices Copy - To copy a highlighted record in a browse, and not open the copied record for editing, use this popup menu choice. Copy with Edit - Copy the highlighted record, and open the copied record for editing. Copy Highlighted record to Customers or Vendors - These buttons are available on the Vendors Browse with Memo window or the Customers Browse with Memo window. Vendors Browse with Memo - To copy a single highlighted record from the Vendors data file to the Customers data file, use the copy button on this browse. Customers Browse with Memo - To copy a single highlighted record from the Customers data file to the Vendors data file, use the copy button on this browse. ________________ New Calendars Global and small calendar Quick Keys When the cursor is in the date field, pressing these keys can quickly set the date. Here are some examples. HomeKey today MinusKey day -1 PlusKey day +1 UpKey week -1 DownKey week +1 Global Calendar By pressing F6, or clicking on the Global Calendar icon on the toolbar, this calendar is available anywhere in the program. In addition, you can paste a date to any text field in any update form. ________________ Lookup HTML buttons improved (Product, Vendor, and Customer Update Forms). Clicking on one of these buttons, and the local data directory file dialog will always be displayed. In version 3.1, clicking on an HTML button and then pressing the escape key, or clicking on cancel would result in the field's information being erased. Information is retained in V3.2 until you make another choice through the file dialog, or manually type it in. ________________ Browse Windows with Memo - New Browse windows with memo display. Available at the Menubar (pulldown menus - Main program window). Browse Products with Memo + then Browse Vendors with Memo + then Browse Customers with Memo + then ________________ Major Improvements to Import / Export program The Choose/Create Path - Path Management of the main program is now used with import / export. This is a very powerful feature enabling you to easily view and create data in multiple directories. Browse windows added to quickly display the results of imported data. Memo or Narrative field shown on Browse Product window. Choice of using Menubar (pulldown menus) or toolbar choices. Import - For testing purposes, a set number of records can be imported. Import - At runtime the user can "override" incoming text for a particular field with their own choice of text (or date). Export Name - Instead of default, Export.DBF or Export.BAS Export Products - Products.DBF or Products.BAS Export Vendors - Vendors.DBF or Vendors.BAS Export Customers - Customer.DBF or Customer.BAS Major Change to Import / Export - Impexd.tps no longer needed in each data directory. This will simplify using the program.
